Meritus Gas Partners members stock welding wire and electrode for pickup or delivery. Our product offerings include premium and value products in these categories:

  • Welding Wires
  • Welding Electrodes
  • TIG Welding Rods
  • Brazing & Soldering
  • Gas Welding Rods
  • Submerged Arc Flux

Our members offer an extensive line of filler metals from; Lincoln Electric, ESAB, UTP, Bohler, Stoody, Select Arc, WeldCote Metals and many more. To select the perfect filler metal for your application, you first need to determine your base metal. Determine the thickness and what position you will have to weld the object. We carry a wide selection of solder, fluxes and powder, tubular wires, MIG wire, TIG Rod, stick electrodes and gas welding rods. Visit your local Meritus Gas Partners location for a customized filler metal to suit your welding application.

MIG Wire

What is MIG? MIG stands for metal inert gas. In stick welding the flux on the electrode melts and forms a gas to shield the puddle from the atmosphere. The atmosphere has hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, and other gases that will cause weld defects if allowed to get into the weld pool. Your local Meritus Gas Partners distributor carries a full line of MIG wires including products tailored to mild steel, stainless, aluminum and much more. We carry 2# spools of wire for the hobbyist, all the way up to 900# bulk wire for manufacturing and robotic applications. Visit your local MGP store and let our knowledgeable staff help you find the perfect MIG wire for your job.

TIG Rod

Weld more metals and alloys than any other process. TIG welders can be used to weld steel, stainless steel, chromoly, aluminum, nickel alloys, magnesium, copper, brass, bronze, and even gold. TIG is a useful welding process for welding wagons, bike frames, lawn mowers, door handles, fenders, and more. Create High quality welds, no sparks or spatter, low to no fumes, all position welds and use 1 shielding gas for all applications.

Welding Rods

Our partners offer a huge selection of welding rods from industry leaders. What is the perfect welding rod for your job? When welding steel or iron, the most common used rods are carbon based rods. 6010, 7010, maybe 8010. These are fast freeze rods that are basically the same in characteristics and function. They go up in ratings from 60,000 to 80,000 pounds in tensile strength and are all position rods. These are AC rods which are the most common current today in America. There are some DC rods that are available like 6011 and 6013. These rods are good for fusing basic iron components together like farm equipment, structural steel, pipe welding, shipyards, shop work, etc.
